- New term incident command system (ICS) added to Chapter 3 to provide clarity for the JPRs throughout the standard
- Term traffic incident management personnel changed to traffic incident management technical specialist to define the qualifications of the person acting in this capacity more accurately and to increase alignment with the terminology used in other NFPA standards
