by Michael L. Walker
The decisions you make on the fireground can have a dramatic impact on both the outcome of the incident as well as the safety of the personnel on scene.
In this classroom session DVD, Chief Walker walks through how a person makes a decision, and how the process of actually deciding can become a hurdle at times. He looks at how that process positively and negatively effects the fire scene, and how to avoid the pitfalls associated with them.
Walker discusses how decisions are made, walks through a systematic size up that can be used at a fire, and illustrates how important communications are at a fire scene. Chief Walker then discusses organization of resources and how to properly evaluate an operation during and after the event.
