Essentials Paramedic Care, Cdn Ed, Vol 1 Workbook

This workbook is designed to help guide you through an educational program for initial or refresher training that follows the specific paramedic competencies available in each province. It can be used either as directed by your instructor or as a self-study guide that you work through on your own.

This workbook features many different ways to help you learn the material necessary to become a paramedic, including:

* Review of Chapter Objectives – each chapter of Essentials of Paramedic Care, Canadian Edition, Volumes 1 and 2, begins with objectives that identify the important information and principles addressed in the chapter reading. To help you identify and learn this material, each workbook chapter reviews the important content elements addressed by these objectives as presented in the text.

* Chapter Parts – several chapters of the text contain a great deal of subject matter. To help you grasp this material more efficiently, the workbook breaks these chapters into parts with their own objectives and content review.

* Content Self-Evaluation – each chapter of the text presents an extensive narrative explanation of the principles of paramedic practice. Each workbook chapter (or chapter part) contains between 10 an 90 multiple-choice, true/false, and matching questions to test your reading comprehension of the textbook material and offer you the experience of taking typical emergency medical service examinations.

* Guidelines for Better Test-Taking – this workbook provides you with some guidelines that are designed to help your performance on tests and to better demonstrate your knowledge of prehospital emergency care.
