$204.15

Help keep fire service personnel safer and better prepared for effective incident response by referencing new consolidated requirements for in-service emergency vehicles and marine firefighting vessels.

NFPA® 1910, Standard for the Inspection, Maintenance, Refurbishment, Testing, and Retirement of In-Service Emergency Vehicles and Marine Firefighting Vessels, offers comprehensive criteria for helping ensure vital fire service equipment is in proper working condition. As part of the NFPA Emergency Response and Responder Safety Document Consolidation Plan, this first-time 2024 edition combines four foundational safety documents into one:

  • NFPA 1911, Standard for the Inspection, Maintenance, Testing, and Retirement of In-Service Emergency Vehicles;
  • NFPA 1912, Standard for Fire Apparatus Refurbishing;
  • NFPA 1925, Standard on Marine Fire-Fighting Vessels; and
  • NFPA 1071, Standard for Emergency Vehicle Technician Professional Qualifications.

Changes to incorporated requirements in the first time 2024 edition include:

  • Revisions relating to the consolidation of NFPA 414, Standard for Aircraft Rescue and Fire-Fighting Vehicles; NFPA 1901, Standard for Automotive Fire Apparatus; NFPA 1906, Standard for Wildland Fire Apparatus; and NFPA 1917, Standard for Automotive Ambulances into the new NFPA 1900, Standard for Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Vehicles, Automotive Fire Apparatus, Wildland Fire Apparatus, and Automotive Ambulances, including renumbering throughout the entire document and updating of cross-references
  • Additional edits to the text in NFPA 1071 and NFPA 1925, as the last editions of those standards were issued just prior to the plan for consolidation
  • Many content-based revisions made to NFPA 1911 and NFPA 1912 requirements based on changes to NFPA 1900
  • Significant number of changes carried over into NFPA 1910 from the first edition of NFPA 1900 because the NFPA 1911 and NFPA 1912 content is from NFPA 1900 and to maintain consistency between the documents
